A mom on Breastfeeding.com, while looking at upcoming shows for the TV Talk
show Dr. Phil (Oprah's favorite "reality therapist", who now has his own
show), found that he is looking for the following persons to be on his show:
https://www.drphil.com/drphilplugger/templates/BeOnTheShow.jhtml?action=resp
ond&plugId=D29800003
"Is your child too old to still be breast feeding? Is he or she reaching the
age of 5 or 6 and you just don't know how to break the habit? Do other
people or family members make comments?
If you would be willing to appear on the show to ask for advice from Dr.
Phil, please e-mail us with your story."
Dr. Phil recently made very negative comments on co-sleeping while he was on
the Oprah show, and they said they received thousands of letters slamming
him. He didn't change his opinion (and I say it is his "opinion" only -
what credentials does he have to give parenting advice???)
I'm not sure if there's much we can do about this show, since they are
already seem set to do a "certain" kind of show about breastfeeding older
children.
Ideas anyone?
