This is a perfect example of two worlds that never seem to collide--even
though they desperately need to! The doctors look at the baby and say there
is nothing to be done--except bottle-feed the baby, of course. Since bf'ing
isn't really very important and territories are important to protect, most
HCP's are unwilling to learn about other modilities that present simple
solutions. Just a simple visit (or several) to a chiropractor or CST trained
in treating babies is all you need. What is amazing to me, besides the bf
issue, is that this baby would have to compensate, perhaps forever, b/c of
ignorance. Remember, that bottle-feeding is also compensatory behaviour, even
though it looks perfectly normal to so many. I strongly urge every single LC
to become versed in the skills of bodyworkers--from CST's to chiro's, to PT's
and OT's to more energetic somatic healers, such as consegrity practitioners.
Babies are meant to bf and  so many corrective measures we take to "fix" bf
problems would be much simpler and quicker to accomplish when babies bodies
are able to feel good and whole.
