Dear Friends:
There is always more to a story.
Consider a man who knows nothing about breastfeeding. His wife has their
baby. Every single time a lactation professional has contact with her, it
costs more money. First a pump. Then a consultation. Then another pump and
more gadgets. I can understand his balking.
Fortunately, because of the fabulous networking and cooperation between
lactation professionals in the Philadelphia area, this situation has been
resolved happily. One pump exchanged for another; larger flanges sold at cost
to give them a boost. Mother now comfortable. And once the swelling goes
down, she'll work on getting baby to breast.
Warmly,
