Thanks to you, Susan Smallwood, for reminding us how *many* LC's entered
this field, by sharing your very moving personal story. And thanks for
letting your loss turn into a blessing for others. I've been following some
of the electronic discussions in the wake of the media hype about the study
from Denmark, and I realize once again that Lactnet is a very sheltered, and
very special, cyberplace.
The tone of responses in these other discussions is quite abusive, and
adamantly against the sober analysis of factual information. It's
depressing, and that's why it is so refreshing to know there are Susans out
there who see where the problem was, and who want to do something
constructive to avoid causing others the same painful loss they went
through.
Best of luck in your studies, Susan, but the most important part is your
motivation - and that is impeccable.
