<<There is research supporting the position that prolactin causes "warm
fuzzy" feelings. Riordan and Auerbach p100: "Prolactin reportedly has a
relaxing effect, causing the breastfeeding woman to feel calm, even
euphoric, during the feeding." >>
I explain in my bf classes that this is Dad's reward for putting up with
a pregnant woman for 9 months...and it's why my husband, when I was in
the throes of menopausal hormonal deficiency & general bitchiness,
suggested that maybe if I got a breastpump & relactated I'd (HE'D) feel
better! Of course, my immediate response was to tell him what HE could
do with the breast pump....!
Still having "power surges" in St. Louis,
