I have searched the archives and not found what I need for this specific
situation.

Mother of two children, one 6months old, one 2.5yrs, tandem nursing. 2.5yo
has developed a coldsore on lip. What is the best management to prevent
transfer both to mother (dad gets coldsores, but not mum) and other baby?
I've advised her to talk to HCP today, and the only thing I can think of
apart from antiviral cream on older child's mouth is to keep the kids to one
breast each until the sores are dried. This 2.5 breastfeeds up to a dozen
times a day and I don't think would take kindly to even temporary weaning
I've also looked in R&A and Lawrence but they talk mostly about herpes in
the neonate - fortunately the younger baby is older or this would be a very
tricky situation.

Thoughts?
