I just received American Baby Magazine in the mail. There is a brief article titled does Nursing Boost IQ? In a nut shell they say that it doesn't and so moms who can' breastfeed shouldn't feel guilty, that the way you interact with your child is more important. What I found even more interesting was a quote in the article "Since most moms who breastfeed do so for their child's benefit, they are likely to do other things that would benefit their child's intellectual development." In my opinion that right there is a loaded statement and says a lot, obviously way more then they realize.
