I know there is probably tons in the archives, but my capacity to think is slightly off kilter. I just got a call from a mother whose birth I attended. Her mother visited for 8 weeks after the surprise early arrival of Abby (the baby). I cultivated a strong friendship, sharing info and many lunches as she was beginning work in the birth field. The birth mother called to tell me her mother died in a collision last week. I am shocked and struggling to find info on
maintaining milk supply because it's obviously down. Baby's output is less and the urine has color and strong odor, poop is green used to be yellow. We discussed rule number one, feed the baby, baby is nearly four months old but if we adjust for gestation, nearly three months. She has access to a fabulous DO, I'm hoping she'll see him and discuss homeopathic remedy. She is a baby wearer and is trying to make time frequently to seek a quiet spot and feed the baby but her
milk supply is quite suppressed. What are the chances of rebounding?
Thanks in advance,
Kerri Bundy in College Station
