I saw a neat show on Discovery Health last night. I am sure I heard about
it already...maybe here or on another list but I've searched all the
relevant archives and can't find a mention. Anyway, it was "Then Came
Baby...Autumn's Story." I missed the beginning when they explained this
baby's birth and subsequent illness. It sounded like it could have been a
TE fistula but she was also premature and had a twin who died before birth.

Mom pumped tons of milk for this baby. There was one shot of her running
through the hospital parking lot with a Classic. They showed her
deep-freeze and it was completely full of milk! When Autumn successfully
went to the breast, she donated it all to the milk bank in Austin. Mom went
on and on about how important it was for her to nurse her baby and how she
knew she would be able to do it eventually. They showed one doctor saying
that her mother's milk was the perfect food for her and the narrator later
said that they knew that breastfeeding had directly contributed to Autumn's
recovery and growth.

Pretty neat!
