Can they refer him to a specialist for check on development (ability to
"eat")? What about iron drops for severe anemia? (in juice or whatever)
and try to determine if there is another reason besides poor intake for
low iron. I would tactfully suggest that, for now, with all these issues
going on, the child needs the comfort, security, and NUTRITION of
breastmilk. I tend to agree with you that there may be other (non-bf
related) reasons for his poor intake.
Does this sound like it will work (in Russia)? I know nothing re
referrals, etc in Russia.
