Thanks for everyone's input.  I agree that using a quantitative measure
would add value to the discussion.  Still, the arguments in favor of
clipping mild tongue tie seem to be good ones, and since NOT clipping is
also a decision, it seems that the least obstructive decision is to clip.
Also, I was heartened to hear that several people had personal experiences
where it helped.

In the case I'm working on, the NP did not care to refer to have it clipped
so I'm in a "wait and see" mode.
