I need some direction from the experts here!

The situation is: Woman due with her 4th child. Never has gotten milk to
come in regardless of galactagogues, Reglan and nonstop pumping/nursing.
Quantity with previous three children has been from nothing to very small
amounts. Endocrinologist says pituitary insufficiency and that prolactin
levels should be at about 200 in the last weeks of pregnancy and her level is
5. Is this info accurate on levels?

I am suggesting she have her thyroid checked, regardless of the above
assessment by Endo.

If you could point me toward information on this and if any solutions are
available, this mom desperately wants to breastfeed. She is due in four
weeks.

If there is any info on the above in the archives, I am devoid of the ability
to locate it. :)

Thank you!
