Me, too.
Wrapping tightly is becoming a hype in the Netherlands and most moms use (and
an awfull lot of healthy-baby-clinics advise) a rather harsh method in which
the arms and legs, as well as the hand and feet, are stretched to the max and
only baby's face is free to move. (he can close his eyes and shut his mouth
and that is what most people want to achieve by wrapping)
I am very concerned about this practice and my gut feeling is that it is bad
for babies, both physically as psychologically. I'd love to have studies to
prove that at least the physical damage is not a gut feeling.
We are already getting the same guilt discussions on this topic as on the
breast vs formula discussion.
