Here in Ariz, I believe it's a bit more of a problem for non-RN IBCLCs. But
it can be done. The catch is, once you have a Medicaid Provider Number,
then you have to go to each individual Medicaid Provider and work out a
contract agreement for your LC services or as a DME provider or both. That
takes months - at least. Appearances are they are trying to eliminate you
by drowning you in paper.
That is reminiscent of by Civil Lit instructor in paralegal school. He
said, with a grin & a giggle, something to the effect that, "He who throws
the most paper wins!" I believe our HMOs subscribe to the same theory.
