Meg, this is the crux of the problem. Mothers are isolated, and
overwhelmed. This is why they are so raw and vulnerable to a book that
tells you exactly what to do when, ....It's an authority,...that slips into
the place of the experienced family member, the friends, etc.  Mothers are
mothering in isolation, and this is not what the human condition is
supposed to be. Hence books like this that prescribe, and bad outcomes.
