This past Friday was the first time I noticed Ezzo in our area.  I had
just finished counseling a Mom about breastfeeding who had given her a
bottle during the evening hours the day before and found that she slept
much better......when as I gathered paperwork and mom slipped into the
tub while dad held his baby, a friend came into the room and began
talking about parenting with the father/husband of this breastfeeding
couple and right off the bat said something in the order of, "Now,
remember, whatever you do, don't allow the baby to manipulate you and
your wife.  My wife and I have 4 children, all being raised in a manner
which has worked wonderfully after having read the book, Raising Kids
God's Way.  All the children as babies were put on a schedule and
sleeping through the night very early on..........."

I was shook to say the least.  Not to mention in an awkward position as
I don't think his comments were meant for my ears. Well, I left for the
day and have been thinking about this mom/dad/baby all weekend....and
how breastfeeding will turn out.  Did she "hear" what we discussed?
What has her husband been suggesting all weekend long?  I will be
calling the mother on Monday for a follow-up and am wondering what the
conversation will be like.
