Furthermore, I'd recommend that she explain to each professor
(especially the one that clearly has reservations) what she is going to
do to assure that the class is not disrupted by the presence of the
baby.

I would recommend that she do the following:
1) seek out a seat near the exit or at the very least an aisle seat on
the door side. That way if she should have to make a hasty retreat she
doesn't have to climb across several classmates with an increasingly
angry baby.

2) Keep the amount of stuff that she brings with her to a minimum.
Probably a notebook (with pockets for loose papers) for note-taking
should suffice and then a small diaper bag. (Or combine a diaper bag &
tote bag or backpack.)

3) Explain to the professor(s) that if the baby gets noisy that she will
leave and that once the baby reaches a stage that he isn't just quietly
chilling out that she will work out other arrangements.

I took my own daughter to Community Chorus until she was about 4 months
old; at that point she was no longer capable of chilling & sleeping in
the sling.... and it was not fun for either of us.

When it does get to the point that the baby is no longer capable of
hanging out in the classroom, one option might be to have the baby on
campus with a friend or relative and nurse right before class and then
right after. Or even on breaks if it's a long class.

Hope she can work out something mutually acceptable for all parties.
