I think you're the one who deserves a pat on the back. It's one of those
cases where perseverance is necessary. I'm looking forward to day when
such a virtue is a desirable trait, not one necessary to a little
person's survival.
I'd be interested in learning more about this disease, especially since
you say it may be more common than previously thought.
