If she's able to partially care for her infant, why can't she at least
have a go at breastfeeding? They won't know if it will work out for her
unless they allow her to try. Of course the baby will need extra care
from other people to make sure (s)he is being breastfed often enough and
gaining weight the way (s)he is supposed to, but the baby and mom will
need that extra care anyway, whether bf or bottlefeeding, so why not let
her try with the breastfeeding? It makes good sense to me.
