I hope I'm not trying your patience with me on this, Denise, I'm really
trying hard to understand :).

In addition to the above, I see switch nursing as a valuable tool for twins
because it frees up a hand to offer massage. (When I referred to starting
switch  nursing when there is little effective milk tx, I meant little w/o
the benefit of massage).
Massage WILL , I believe,  empty the breast further than without its use and
offer the baby more and higher fat, milk and isn't an *emptier* breast going
to be more of a signal to *up* production?

OK, If stimulation doesn't contribute to milk synthesis then why does pumping
and getting nothing EVER initiate/improve milk production (as in the case of
adoption or pumping an empty breast after fdng)?
