I am looking for some references for switch nursing. I can't understand
how it works. I understand it is sometimes suggested to encourage
multiple MER's hence increase a supply, but given that MER's occur
bilaterally and simultaneously, then surely allowing the baby to feed at
leisure on one breast, with the 6,7 or even 8 MER's that occur in a feed
(according to Peter Hartman, but usually only the first 1-2 discernible
by mums) causes there to be 6,7 or 8 MER's in the other breast too.
What am I missing? Many thanks. Meg.
