My first inclination on this is to think that the prolactin level of  8
is in different units.
Maybe I am just jaded but it seems to me that all of this mom's nursing
problems stem from reaching for that stupid can of free formula. I think
they could have been overcome, would have been overcome if the formula
weren't available. (Wouldn't have been problems in the first place)
You said this mom really wants to nurse, but from her history I don't
think she is very committed. It is too easy to reach for the formula. I
guess  I've just seen too many moms whose milk "never  came in" because
it  never had a chance.
Any way how is she doing?
