It is extremely rare for a human infant to be lactose intolerant. A
lactose intolerant infant will be extremely ill, not just fussy or not
gaining well. Probably this baby had a relative lactose overload, or
not enough fat from the breast due to poor sucking, positioning, or
breastfeeding management. Another nonsensical reason to wean.
