I have worked w/ moms (including first-time moms) who have had nipple thrush while pregnant. I would be really wonderful if she were treated now, so that she may be able to avoid the pain while breastfeeding. Often, though, the symptoms aren't so severe while pregnant, so don't assume it is not thrush if it is milder. Often, among the most obvious symptoms are inability to have anything touch the nipples, vaginal yeast infections and craving for sweets or carbs. Be sure she treats if she has had a vaginal infection as well. I would suggest going to Jay's (www.drjaygordon.com) site and getting the info on grapefruit seed extract.
