Kathy mentions:
I suggested they try giving expressed breastmilk thickened by
cereal to see if the thickness would decrease the reflux.

This doesn't work too well. It seems the breastmilk begins to "digest"
the cereal. Mom thickens it with cereal, turns around to get a spoon
and finds that it's back to being liquid. She adds more cereal and
before she can start giving it to baby, it's liquid again. Etc. etc.
etc. It's the same problem when she begins to introduce cereal and uses
EBM for the liquid.
