Has anyone seen the Canadian newspapers today and the
announcement that the government will give ten million $$$
to a research project at the Hospital for Sick Children which
will experiment with babes at risk for diabetes ?
They are looking for 6000 babies to be put into two groups.
Half will be given cows milk formula and half will be given
a new "hydrolized cow milk formula" that will supposedly
reduce the risk of Type 1 diabetes.
This from a hospital that closed its Human Milk Bank a few
years ago and why won't the government put money into
helping more people succeed at breastfeeding ? Of course
I already know the answer, industry wins again.
