Yep....I favour this over the pharmacolgical/herbal explanation, too,
but that probably reflects personal bias, if I am honest ; )

The mother's milk supply may not have lessened (or only as a
secondary result)....the baby is just asking for more expressions of
love and attention in amongs all the excitement and busy-ness.

If mothers respond to this, then the baby is happier....and the
perception of less milk lessens...
