Hi everyone,
I have been lurking since signing back on to lactnet. I want to briefly
intro myself. I have not been on lactnet in quite a few years, at least 4.
I was a LLLL in CT. My plan to sit the exam at that time, put on hold by the
whirlwind of an intense fourth baby, then marital difficulties. I am now
happy to be back, living in sunny S. FL, sitting the exam this summer, single
and student--mom to four lovely children.

This example just goes to point out that not only has the info changed but
the facts as well. I "remember when" this attitude was pretty much true,
because the mom would be a failure with a shield that often did contribute to
milk stasis and nipple damage just by design, thick and unyielding. The
flexible silicon creates a circumstantially useful tool--now.
However, a new problem emerges (the f/u thread) and thus the need for new
methods to assist with d/c the use. They don't snip away as easily as the
oldies. New methods, new info, new problems, new solutions. dynamic field.
