Ah Sharon, thanks -- while I knew most of everything else, this was the piece
I was missing. I guess I figured that once the bilirubin was
bound/conjugated, it was done.....but just like married couples, apparently
the bond can be broken, huh? And then the bilirubin is free to pick up
another cute albumin.
Sorry -- couldn't resist. But at least I won't forget it now!
