Maureen has been asking about creamatocrit procedures.

I am just catching up on stacks of reading material, and I saw in Marie
Biancuzzo's excellent quarterly newsletter Breastfeeding Outlook (a
wonderful but economical investment for any individual wanting to
influence hospital staff with quick, easy-to-read up-to-date info) about
what method of pumping works best.

In addition to the article itself, one of the references may be worth
checking out as an alternative to the creamatocrit procedure:

Lemons JA, Schreiner RL, Gresham EI. Simple method for determining the
calorie and fat content of human milk. Pediatrics 1980;66:626-8.

It was derived from the orignal article on creamatocrit by Lucas et al.

(I have no monetary interest in Breastfeeding Outlook. I just think it is
one of the best-kept secret gems in the "change the
hospital/doctor/nurse" arsenal!)
