Debbie,
CST is very helpful for babies who are totally stressed out after birth
and won't feed well.  Newborns who have had forceps or vacuum delivery
especially benefit from this therapy.  I've seen some good results.  The
problem is that most parents have never heard of it and are reluctant to
"experiement" on a newborn.  It is also expensive and not covered by
health insurance.
