The only reason that it may affect supply is that most people aren't hungry
when on the diet, lose their cravings for junk food, and become less
interested in eating -- hence decrease caloric intake perhaps pretty
dramatically.  And in that way it can decrease supply.  IF she goes on the
diet but makes sure she is eating enough (probably around 1800 calories), she
should be OK.
