I thank Barbara for her lovely post on grief and working too hard. As you
all may imagine, or at least some of you anyhow, I work pretty hard..and
can really overdo it in the OUTgoing energy department. I work with my
home, my family, take care of three daughters (two teens)..kids in three
orchestras, quartet and private lessons, schoolwork, private clients, work
as an online consultant, and taking care of Lactnet, my other baby.
Sometimes, when the going gets tough, I get so tired that I just have to
lay down during the day. I did so today...as I was just simply
spent...after working with a challenging mother/baby this morning.
I urge every one of us to take a page from Barbara's book. Check in with
yourselves. Do something nice for yourself every day. I try to light a
candle when I work at the computer so that I can smell the nice smell, and
relax as I work, and not end up with my shoulders in a knot. Breathe. As
women, we have to really work on not giving till it's all gone. Thanks
Barbara. And yes, many of my keeper notes are by Barbara. She's fabulous.
Warmly,
Kathleen
