And a follow-up column (a must read) "A show of boobery at Stewart" by reporter Beth Quinn:http://www.th-record.com/archive/2002/02/25/bethcol2.htm
This was just posted on the Advocacy message board at Breastfeeding.com: http://www.breastfeeding.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/001983.html
Nurse-In at Stewart International Airport, NY
Here are the details of the nurse-in:
Nurse-in will be Wednesday,Febrary 27, 2002, at 10 a.m. Airport officials, who seem bound and determined to compound their error, have already said they will not let the
women and their infants into the terminal. So, we'll have a huge crowd of women and babies left out in the cold for newspaper and TV cameras. How utterly stupid the airport people are! New York Times, I'm told, will be there. So will we. All are welcome!
Follow-up story in tomorrow's paper with all the details (including a shot our photographer took today of the cover of Penthouse and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition boldly displayed in airport gift shop for sale. This just gets better and better!)
Beth Q
Stewart Airport is located just off exit 17 of the NY State Thruway. Hope to see you there! Sorry for the short notice!
