  A couple of thoughts to throw into the mix....

 when there is a lot of fluid iv given to mom, babies too get very
edematous... so the loss is not "weight" but excess fluid.

  it is my understanding that babies will not urinate until there is intake
so if there is abm given urination starts in excess of the amount one would
see with colostum only intake.
