Breastfeeding will alter the cells on the cervix and vagina to be
atrophic as in a menopausal woman because of the decreased estrogen.
Sometimes that creates an ASCUS or atypical cells ( not dysplasia) or
the report may say inflammation, so the pap might need to be repeated.
Not a reason to not do the Pap though. In the US we still do them
postpartum and during breastfeeding.
