I am speaking at the Lactation Consultants of GB conference this
weekend, and one of my presentations is looking at volunteer support
for bf in the hosptal. I have a number of examples - including a
project I am involved with myself - and there is a bit of research
around the topic. I'd love to know of any schemes people on this list
are involved in, especially if they have been evaluated.
The sort of things I expect to hear about are one-to-one support,
where the volunteer goes in at a designated time to see women in turn
(that is, not specifically at an individual mother's request), groups
which meet at the hospital, postnatally or antenatally.
Please contact me off list if you prefer.
Thanks!
