My 3rd child was 41/2 and he wanted a specific toy. He was currently tandem
nursing with his 2 year old sister. I told him he could have it when he was
no longer nursing. He said "Fine, I am only going to nurse one more week." He
counted down the days and then asked when we could get his toy. No ceremony
but of all my 6 children this is the only weaning I remember.
On a side note one month later while I was nursing his sister he looked at me
and said "Don't you think she is too big to nurse" It made me laugh.
