Thanks, Susan, for the quote of Lamentations. I just was reading that verse
yesterday for the first time. Was glad to see it in the Bible. Not to get
too far off topic--but there are so many verses where I believe God talks
about things like nursing for comfort, nursing "on demand", "late" weaning (I
might call it age-appropriate weaning), etc. I wish there was a more careful
gleaning of the Scripture before marching off to develop an infant feeding
program that was supposedly "God's way" but was in reality more like
"post-World War II Westernized culture, overly-medicalized, man's way." Just
my two cents. I truly hope I haven't offended anyone or gone too far into an
already worn out topic!! :-)
