    interesting that zantac and tagamet are contraindicated..you know they
give them to infants.....
    briggs says that cimetidine( tagamat), as agent with similar activity (
to ranitidine- zantac) is considered to be compatable during breastfeeding by
the American Academy of Pediatrics....

    cimetidine - tagamat - was reclassed by american acad of peds in 1994...

                 good luck...page 176- 179 for cimetidine and 763-764 for
rantidine...
