Actually, that is supposed to be an illustration of how TO cover a baby in a crib.  The picture was put in there purposely to illustrate this, but I can see how that is not clear.  There is some name for putting a blanket in the crib this way, though I don't remember it and had never heard of it
before.  The blanket is tucked into the bottom of the crib on all three sides and the baby is tucked into it, rather like a pita!  I agree the baby looks lonely and it seems really constricting as well.  The brochure does say elsewhere, "use only a light receiving blanket, if necessary."    I do
