What led to my last statement/questions re: nipple confusion was the
discussion on pacifiers. I truly believe that they cause problems because
time at breast is subverted by pacifier use in early weeks, setting up a
future inadequate supply.
Once a baby is gaining wholeheartedly and is a few weeks old, they don't
seem to cause a major problem. I think is early use and I don't think it is
nipple confusion, I think it is nipple (read that breast) replacement. I've
also had moms stop pacifier use and turn it around. Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
