I find very few mothers who "like" the SNS. Most report it as being
"too much work". More will stick with the "starter" version. No
supplementer will help if baby has a poor suck or won't latch. You
mentioned that 2 of the 3 were vacuum. I would strongly suspect that as
a big part of the problem unless proven otherwise. Look at the bruise
they tend to leave. They have to be giving baby a headache! If baby
has to have one, I sure prefer to see them off to one side rather than
centered on the head. That way you can position in football on one side
and cross-cradle on the other thus keeping the bruise facing upward. It
usually makes a big difference. The lengthy epidurals can't have helped
either. I think these babies needed more time to adjust and to be fed
by cup or finger until these problems resolve.
