I agree with Patricia, and later, Chris...and add the problem seems
to with the doctor, as well : (
The pattern Kathy describes is well inside the normal spectrum for a
baby of this age - though you don't give details of the weight. Even
so, weight gain to date has been normal, and it also normal for
weight to plateau, when everything else is fine.
If the mother is happy (with support and encouragement) going along
with the baby's needs, and the baby is thriving...then what a shame
they can't be left alone to enjoy this loving, healthy, rewarding
relationship without the doctor bringing in stuff like not enough REM
sleep (evidence, evidence?????).
