In response to Pat's post, my 1st child was born 28 yrs ago and I did receive
formula samples along with a slew of coupons & ads. No diaper bag, though. I
had been warned at La Leche League that I would get the formula and that I
should throw it out as soon as I got home, so it was common practice in south
Florida at that time. I stashed it away in the cupboard, found it a few
months later, and mixed it up thinking I could substitute it for milk in some
recipe and get some extra nutrients. But when I smelled it, I threw it out.
Somebody subsequently told me it made wonderful pancakes.
