Kathleen and Dr. Newman: In the first weeks, as I have learned frequent
nursing sets up prolactin receptor sites, the more with more frequency. Not
enough frequency and not many prolactin receptor sites can still provide milk
manufacture for a while but after a few months I read somewhere that milk can
plateau. Could this be a factor in supply decrease after a few months?One of
these days I will learn to note the sources of interesting info.
