I am looking for input for a mom who is about 7 weeks pregnant and nursing
her 18 month old. She is committed to nursing, and absolutely does not want
to wean, but her milk supply is very low, and the baby is down to two
nursings each day.
She is having severe morning sickness, but has discontinued her use of
Diclectin because she felt it was not working and she suspected it could be
lowering her milk supply.
She has also discontinued her pre-natal vitamins as they were making her
nausea worse.
This mother is having to take fluids by IV upon occasion, and is obviously
dehydrated.
If the baby nurses more or if the mom pumps to keep up her milk supply will
it worsen her dehydration? Any ideas on bringing up her milk supply?
Thanks,
Laurena
