Judi,

A lot of the mothers of premies have these bacteria in their milk. In
our unit they often donate their excess to our milk bank so it gets
tested at that point. Their babies never had a problem with infection
from it although the bacteria count is usually too high for use as donor
milk.
I hate it when the milk is tested except for milk bank purposes, luckily
where I work it never occurs to anyone to do this.
