Loved Melissa's message May 6 re 7 minute myth and putting mom
in baby's diaper. Moms in Israel not warned of growth spurts, and
I had trouble explaining to them until my kids hit adolescence
(or adolescence hit them. whatever.) I started telling moms that
their "starving", demanding 3 month olds were in growth spurt and
were HUNGRY. In short, mom is fine, baby is in FIRST ADOLESCENCE.
I remind them about bottomless pit teenagers. I now love watching
their faces light up - they're so relieved to get assurance that
their milk is not "going" - and laughing with them at the thought
of their baby frying up 4 eggs to stuff in a sandwich. It's
obvious that he can't, so he frets for the milk wagon. Regards,
