I can remember once when I worked in a postnatal ward that had mainly C/S
patients of various nationalities.Alot of these clients were of the large
variety sometimes with DDplus size breasts.very hard to attach baby too.
One solution I found was to sit the mother beside the bed ,baby on the bed
in such a position he/she could attach to breast, mother used Dancer's hand
position to put breast into baby's mouth.Looked odd but did work eventually
I think mum ended up lying on side on bed to feed.
What about feeding prone, can the baby attach that way,mum can then see
what's happening she still might have to hold breast so that it shapes to
baby's mouth.
